Artist Dates fire up the imagination. They spark whimsy. They encourage play. Since art is about the play of ideas, they feed our creative work by replenishing our inner well of images and inspiration.

Scheduling a regular, weekly, 1 – 2 hours, to take your creative self out to play, can be one of the most effective and fun ways to nurture your creative spirit, fill your creative well, and enhance your creative imagination.
Artist dates should ideally be solo, and can be a simple walk along the beach, or an hour sipping tea or coffee at a new or favorite cafe.
An artist date can be exploring a museum or going to a fabric store with no agenda and no money – just to browse and be inspired.
The actual activity matters less than the regular habit of honoring ourselves as creatives by making and taking the time to feed our senses and our intuitive wisdom.
